Products - Orkot® Bearings

Orkot® is an advanced composite bearing material with a low-friction wear surface and solid lubricants that greatly reduces the coefficient of friction. From this material we develop and manufacture Orkot® Bearings and Orkot® Spherical Bearings; a highly durable bearing that has an excellent dimensional stability.

World wide Orkot® has been applied in an enormous variety of applications. Some examples are: bridges, harbours, railways, pumps and valves, lifting and handling equipment and off road vehicles.

Specifically for the marine industry a different type of Orkot® has been developed, named Orkot® Marine.

Orkot® has many advantages over metal bearings; they are maintenance free and accommodate shaft misalignments, even in the most demanding industrial environments. Orkot® holds all certifications and approvals required for applications in the food and marine industry.



Material Properties

Orkot® is suitable for all bearing applications and has the following material properties:

  • Low coefficient of friction (between 0.04 and 0.15)
  • High load capacity (up to 100 N/mm²)
  • Applicable up to 200° Celsius
  • No swelling in water
  • Well suited for applications in sea water
  • Food approved grades available
  • Ability to bond with two component epoxy adhesive
  • Highly durable
  • Dimensional stability
